Brand Valley helps organisations navigate the ever-changing and complex world through research and co-creation journeys based on design methods. We provides our customers with insights, direction and anchoring. The goal is to shape solutions with enduring quality and create solutions with substance. Our methods build on 20 years research and practise in design leadership, innovation and brand building.
Collaboration
Brand Valley works closely with leading design institutions and design leaders world wide. In our projects we include experts fit for the scope.
In Norway we work with the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) and the Oslo Metropolitan University. Monika is a part time professor at Oslo School of Architecture and design. For ten years, Monika taught ”Strategic Design Thinking” for the Master of Arts in Innovation Management at the internationally renowned school Central Saint Martins (CSM) at the University of the Arts London. She has given lectures and workshops at and in collaboration with Aalto University (Helsinki), Chalmers (Gothenburg), Royal College of Arts (London) and a number of other institutions in Europe and Asia.

Monika Hestad
Founder, Industrial designer (MA, PHD)
Monika Hestad has taught, researched and practiced design thinking and design management for 20 years. She has worked for several leading brands internationally and nationally such as Anora, NHO Helse and Service, Mars, Procter & Gamble, Sparebanken Møre and Jensen Beds. She holds a position as Professor II in Design Management at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO), where she teaches and researches a design approach to develop strategies. Monika is author of the bestselling book Branding and Product Design: An integrated perspective (Routledge), as well as a number of scientific articles and The little booklets on Design Thinking and Business Design (Brand Valley Publications).
Anders Grønli
Co-founder
Anders Grønli has a BA in organisational psychology and political science from the University of Oslo and an MSc in global security from Cranfield University at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. He has previously worked for the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a policy adviser in the Norwegian Parliament (Stortinget), as a project manager for the European Commission and run his own consultancy with projects on three continents. After relocating to the UK in 2009 he spent three years in the consulting engineering company Arup advising clients globally on security strategy and planning.
He currently works on strategic security risk management for a Norwegian Government institution, in addition to being a non-executive director at Brand Valley.
